I investigate most mushrooms I find. I even take pictures and lift their edges/skirts to see what kind of gills they have. I used to collect the “safe” ones and bring them home to eat, but never had the guts to actually eat one. After reading a book called ” The Deadly Harvest” , I only look at mushrooms in the woods.
